The American Samoa Fisheries Task Force invites fishermen, seafood businesses, and community members across the Territory — including Manu'a — to share the fisheries issues that matter to them.

Whether it concerns fuel and operating costs, fishing access, infrastructure such as docks, ramps, ice, and cold storage, market access, or any other matter affecting American Samoa's fisheries, community input helps the Task Force understand conditions on the water and in our villages.

How to share an issue

Issues raised by the community are compiled and considered as the Task Force develops its recommendations to the Governor. The Task Force does not regulate fisheries or issue licenses or permits, but it works to make sure community concerns reach the agencies and partners that can act on them.
